UGM announces multiple new mining contracts across New South Wales
May 24, 2021
Underground mining equipment maintenance and services provider, UGM, has seen a doubling in scale with the recent securing of three New South Wales based contracts.
A three-year contract brings nearly 100 new UGM personnel to a site near Mudgee, 200km west of Newcastle.
Another 50 UGM operators are also under contract to a mine in Lake Macquarie, 50 km south of Newcastle, which comes fresh off the overhaul and delivery of a second Continuous Miner to the same mine – the overhaul of which was undertaken by UGM at its new Morisset workshop.
Finally, a further 15 operators have been posted to another mine in the Lake Macquarie region and will deliver a two-year ventilation work and secondary support contract.
These contracts further cement UGM’s position as a trusted partner in the supply and management of large scale experienced and reliable workforces to the Australian underground mining industry.
